11:11

by Marie Bowers
(USA)

It’s eleven eleven, I wished for you

Laid my head against the pillow and wished you were true

True to your heart, at peace with your mind

That you’d stop beating yourself up inside

In those sixty seconds I wished

That I’d never be missed

That you’d move on

And forget I exist

I asked that you’d be happy, I asked that you’d find love

Someone who’d cherish you, that’d realize you were sent from above

It’s eleven twelve and my wish is thru

But just so you know – I wished for you.
