Easter Poems

Easter

It is a time of great personal reflection and faith. Our Easter Poems Collection portrays the spirit of this season that marks the culmination of the holy week. The writers at My Word Wizard have taken a look at the holiday from a number of vantage points, much the same way the modern world views the holiday. There is the deeply religious aspect, which is the essence of the tradition, and the more secular aspect, which celebrates the joyful side of the holiday and coincides with the changing of the seasons.

There are many ways people celebrate the holiday. Different cultures have their own unique traditions that accompany the commemorations. Some are solemn and others are joyful. Each of us brings his or her own family, faith or national customs to the occasion, customs that symbolize for us the meaning of the holiday.

Some people mark the season by making a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. Others go to Rome. Wherever you celebrate the season, the sanctity of the Easter tradition is created by a spirit of reflection on the significance of the events that you and your loved ones bring to the day.

No matter how divergent the particular practices, the message of the holiday remains the same, and is central to any commemoration.

Whether it is an entirely faith based experience, or you favor hunting colorful eggs and cuddling bunnies with your kids, there is a common thread of hope and a spirit of renewal imbued in the day.

We hope you enjoy this very special selection of poetry.

Bunny Poems : Everybody loves cute little Easter bunnies. The writers at My Word Wizard are no exception. We asked them to pay homage to these delightful animals by creating a collection of verses that extoll their virtues. We think these these lighthearted words will add a chuckle to your day.

Easter Eggs : They come in green and gold, orange and blue. So many colors, what is one to do! The art of decorating these symbols of the Holy Week ranges from casual activity to serious craft. In many cultures, the artistry surrounding the intricate design work and detailing is a matter of national pride. We hope you enjoy these delightful words.

Easter Egg Hunts : The writers at My Word Wizard explore those wonderful days when we spent hours searching yards and fields for beautifully colored eggs. We think you will absolutely love this darling assemblage of Easter Poems that recall some of the very best days of youth.

Easter Pictures : We asked the writers at My Word Wizard to hand select a small sampling of images that represent different traditions surrounding the Holy Week. If that wasn't enough, we challenged them to write some Easter Poems based on the images.  Their interpretations are absolutely adorable. We hope they even inspire you to write some special sentiments of your own for the holiday.

Short Poems for this Holy Day : This delightful collection of short verses about Holy Week commemorate the various traditions of the season. Here you'll find religious as well as more secular sentiments to mark the significance and meanings of the holiday.

The Christian Story : Easter is the most important religious event on the Christian calendar. The gospels relate that Jesus rose from the dead on the third day following the crucifixion. The resurrection is commemorated on Easter Sunday. We hope you enjoy this very special collection of religious poems for the Holy Season.
