A Gift of Life

by Esther Thornburg
(Cantril, Iowa USA)

When the chips are down
They have found a place on the ground.

When the time is near
You may question what you hear.

Is what we have been told
The same as in the scrolls of old?

The maker planed a way.
What does He have to day?

There is a true and living way
In the spirit dwelling within today.

Follow not traditions way
Repetition doings changes not my day.

The sacrifice that paid it all
Is a true salvation call.

God raised Him from the grave
When His life He gave.

Today He lives!
It is life He gives.
