A Girl Like You

I have a story to tell, That began on a rainy day. The birds were merry from the rain and the spray. It felt very different, So different from every day. I saw you the first time had no words left to say. We then became friends and the world seemed brand-new. Earth felt better than heaven and it was just because of you. You spoke to my heart and I didn't know what to do. I ran a long distance, But never met a girl like you. You came into my dreams any which way, night or day. The wind held my hands, But your warmth swept me away. I could see the rainbows coloring each and every way. You could change my world, make my heart dance and play. Knowing I can fall in love. Hours together seemed so few. Winter felt warmer than ever and it was just because of you. You voiced to my heart about the joy I brought to you. How I had run forever, Just to meet a girl like you.
