A NEW BEGINNING

Today is a new beginning for me
No more being defined by others
Not my sister, mother or brothers
I’m not going to be ruled by fears
No more living through the tears

No more turning and running away
Today like a new sun that has risen
I am breaking out of my life’s prison
I am important, in this world I exist
No more talking me down I insist.

Today I am going to release all fear
There is a new power waiting within
This very moment I start and begin
I feel a new spirit rising up in me
I am going to be who I want to be.

Today is a new beginning for me
I will tell you who I am, not you
I’m no longer a prisoner it’s true
I am a new person strong and alive
Finally I feel my life now revive.
