Across The Way

by Esther Thornburg
(Cantril, Iowa USA)

There remains unto this day
The view from memory's way.
It tells of activities of other days.
With love they managed life's ways.

Only the big tree stands guard
In what used to be a school yard
And the knowledge the minds retained
Was priceless and remains.

Years have come and gone
But life is guided on.
Share with the youth of today
Display the wisdom of life's way.

Love is shared by being there.
Listen intently with care.
They are building memories to share.
Let them know you care.

His Way...."
