Angel's Wings

Tonight she sleeps with a knife,
Tonight she makes everything right,
As she thinks about the black hole
where her heart used to be,
She remembers all the tears and
blood she shed for him,
She remembers the dream she had,
Of an angel who told her
everything would be ok,
The angel who looked at her now,
with outstretched arms,
She thought about her Beloved,
How he betrayed her,
How he stole her heart and
smashed it into a million pieces.
How he destroyed her last stitch of sanity,
And stole her innocence so Hungrily,
She looks at the angel blood
streaming from her chest,
And says "I'm ready now"
So now she has peace.
By ending one life...
And starting another.
Tonight and forever she flies
safe on Angel's wings.
