Another Mother

Happy Mothers Day Jackie
I know you think this is wild
You would say, "I've never been a mother
I've never had a child!"

I disagree totally, on what you just said
Being a mother is more vast that that!
I've seen a mother dog feeding some baby kittens
Does that make the dog a Mother Cat?

You cared for the children of others
You cared for stray dogs and strangers
You cared for your aged fathers and mothers
And you've always been there for sisters and brothers.

This day is made for women just like you
For what you've done for others
Have a blessed Mothers Day
And join the Parade of Mothers!

What a wonderful poem!
by: McCollonough Ceili

This poem is so great! I love how it speaks the truth about women who may not have had children of their own, but are still mums.
