Bad Winter

by Ashaeknique Sumlin
(United States)

As winter hits the warm season.
Everyone is locked inside.
The house is the safest place.
To protect you from the beast outside.
Winter may come and go.
But it leaves behind the coldest days.
White flakes clenching everything.
Nothing can be seen outside the windows.
Winter has committed bad deeds.
It's taking it out on us.
Winter why are you hurting us?
Winter replies with a bad blizzard.
The windows are no more.
Nothing is left after this winter.
But the bad winter that can't get enough.
