Bed Wish

by Damola Akinola
(Grenoble, France)

I am closing my eyes trying to visualise you sleeping so peacefully. What it would be like to lay next to you, feel your soft skin, your smell, play with your hair, your touch, those lips, and to plant a soft kiss on your forehead then whisper "sweet dreams" into your ears. But then I open my eyes to realise you are a thousand miles away, so I wipe the smile off my face because it was almost too good to be true.
