Birthday Cake

Butter, eggs, sugar, flour;
Mix batter, bake an hour.
Done yet? Smells sweet.
Has to cool. Then we eat?
Spread frosting then decorate.
Now we eat? Have to wait.
We party, we sing—time to eat.
Yum, yum birthday cake—such a treat!
