Bonfire Night (Friday 5th November)

by Katherine Lloyd
(Kuala Lumpur)

My favourite night
Is one that’s cold
It’s celebrated
By young and old

With lights and colour
Crackle and pop
I wonder when
The noise will stop

We drink hot chocolate
To keep us warm
And watch intently
As the fireworks perform

The bangs and wooshes
High in the sky
I hope a bird
Isn't passing bye

They’d wonder what,
Is this great sight
And we’d shout and sing
It’s Bonfire Night!
