breathless

by michelle lachut
(Fort Myers, FL USA)

breathless
breathless beneath the passionate eyes of your intimate love face
intoxicated by the magic sweet taste of your enchanting aura
all of your erratic heart beats, soul felt, and matched in given rhythm
dance with your soft, ribbon, kiss, repeating faster, slower, and deeper
hearing your tender touch in the melody of our most beautiful song
where all six senses speak tongues, singing music, that we are incarnate
then, gasping air is forced into my chest, embracing the full import
of all desires and dreams, running wild, into the full wind of my fantasy
where suddenly, known, what would be love, has imagined itself fully
and then only the path of would be desire, leads my wanting footsteps
until I can breathe joy from life, in the moment meeting true destination
where I am wanted a last, home in the cherished arms meant to hold me
