Brief as the Collied night

by Angel Delvillar
(Bronx Ny)

A verdant patch abutted with dew
In the Eden before morning
our souls sinew
A gleamy starry sky,
Jupiter is in view

Night visions, the scenes abound
taking over this love that I've found
Briefly lifting my feet I hear
the swans singing, announcing,
finally, the sun will come now

Have I lost control over where we once knew?
In this day and age I've found something new
How could I be so blind? when throughout the night,
I had only been looking for you.
