Cancer's Bed

by Jimmy Langford
(Arkansas)

I awake feeling joy
to see my daughters'
smiling beautiful little faces.
I see beauty now in all places.
The dark allures with the majesties of the night.
So many beauties come fourth in the morning light.
Family I adore they will never know how much.
My friends have been saving graces
with their caring touch.
I hope when I stand before you
I'm good enough,
I have tried my best.
To all of you my family and friends
I love y'all
even as I draw my final breathe.
