Christmas Already?

by Shelia Jimenez
(Fostoria, Oh)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
My wallets getting thin.
Take a look at my bank account.
I'm ready to scream and shout.
Ther're charges there that I don't even know!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
The Family's coming home.
Here's a sweater from Uncle Ben.
I haven't seen him since, Lord knows when.
Don't stand near him underneath the mistletoe!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
Toys & food galore.
Grandma's baking her favorite pie.
No one ever eats it, I don't know why.
And Grandpa spiked the eggnog once again!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
The years are flying by.
I long for the Christmas of yesterday.
When things were simple and stayed that way.
Not just on Christmas but all throughout the year!
