Christmas Eve

by Donna Holt
(Wales)

Late at night if you hear the floor boards creek, don't be tempted to take a peek.
You might get a shock or a big surprise, go back to sleep and close your eyes.
Not long now to see who's been, you hope for pressies under your tree.
The time is here as you rush down the stairs, has Santa been? be prepared.
There before you a sight to see, all your presents under the tree.
Santa Clause is real this I know, as I caught him kissing mum under the mistletoe.
