The two of us, in love or so it seemed, separated by distance greater than infinity defined. That was, at least, until the call.
I said Hello. Your lips quivered and you began to speak those words.
Words with a power to change time and place. Words that for a moment brought us eye to eye, face to face.
Standing there in front of me, each syllable like one thousand shards of glass shattering in the core of my soul. Words armed with daggers keeping time and rhythm... heartbeat, pierce, heartbeat, pierce, heartbeat...
"I have a Daughter...Aundrea".
Empty, confused, broken, betrayed, crumpled on the floor, one thousand shards shattering the core of my soul...I politely say,
