Conspicous

by Jake
(Belleville, Ontario, Canada)

They say curiosity killed the cat.
Obviously whoever said that,
at the time tested that fact.
Don't try to state truth
when it's ever changing,
these roots grow strong but are ever aging.
Glass is breaking,
I've lied to myself,
mistaking my rights for wrongs
and now the aftermath
I'm tasting with every breath I'm wasting.(Taking.)
