Daddy's Girl

by Jillian Campbelton
(Beverley, East Yorkshire)

Hold your memories in a pocket of your heart
and know my daughter we will never be apart
take me out of your pocket of love
think of me and give me a hug

I'll be standing in your garden where I want to be
and remember my daughter who knows I am so free

I still love you and adore you as I always have done
but my battle is now over and I have won

my daughter remember the love that we had
for you are still my little girl and I am still your dad
