Darkest of Times

by Emilee DeFrancesco

It was a dark time for the two
Not a single ray of light shined through
Everything seemed dank and dismal
A fog shrouded their views

Then came along Cupid
Decked in his snowy toga
Sporting his lovely bow and arrows
Shooting a heart shaped tip into the stranger's hearts

They fell into their dream world
Not caring to slow themselves down
The lovers had eyes only for one another
And nothing could ever change that

The couple soon learned
Even in the darkest of times,
There will always be a chance for you
A chance to change your perspective
