DAWN SONG

by michelle Lachut
(Holly, MI)

Sky call of life to birth
heard and shaken
was she of worth
begged more heaven's
moon sent tidings
our mother earth's
sound of rejoicing
gales of laughter
wild wind resounding
passion's force voicing
storms on waters
whispers in trees
flower scented breeze
drenched fragrant by
design of their desire
Love is a bird's
song without words
in dawn break mist
sung for they
the day makers
made in morning fog
out of last night's rain
