Dead Happy

by Jasmine

You see A girl so pretty, it's true
Dark hair, blue eyes but you don't see what's wrong
Behind her eyes so stunning she cries
If you saw past her smile you'd see a frown so deep you'd think it never ends

She's ashamed of her perfect body because of what has been done to it
Through rape and through fight, there's many scars she hides, but she's strong
Her long thick eyelashes whisper her story but all that guys hear is seduction
Not a virgin by force she gives away her virginity by choice

Abused and unloved she walks arm in arm with sorrow
In the small town of Baldwin she isn't alone, many people have stories like her own
For once she is the most popular girl and she is almost whole
She dates and is happy at school but her home-life isn't so good

She moves with a record she couldn't shake, so close from getting kicked out
She doesn't realize how much she is losing until she finds out she is leaving him
so lonely she sits at her home-school computer, only thinking of him
she looks through blinds that seem so much like prison bars, hoping he'll be here soon

thanks...writing is my way to get everything out. it's my story, and my life is like and endless tunnel not quite in the light yet.
