Dear Mama,

by Hannah McKinney
(Yokosuka, Japan )

Dear Mama,

When the wind blows hard
I know it is you telling me I will be okay.
But I just like to say hey
you are the one who made me this way .
You let me have strength in the odd thing
but really now I'm the odd thing.
Mama please don't cry if I die today
you'll find out you'll take my strength
and when the cherry blossom blooms with the wind blowing
you will know it is me saying you'll be okay .
