Doggy Tails

by Donna Holt
(Wales)

My tail starts to flap like the wind in a sail,
And my heart beats so fast when I run for the mail.
I lick your face and all over your nose,
You squeal out loud as the gooey stuff flows.
A pat on my head and a rub on my tummy,
Dinnertime soon and it's always yummy.
You love to walk me and play fetch with a ball,
I always come running when you shout that call.
I will always be here to rest at your feet,
If you need me at all I will be there in a beat.
My master, my friend all rolled into one,
By your side now and forever until we are gone....
