Don't Lie To Me

by Caneel
(Maine)

When I was young
I had a real father
He was always there
And nice and soothing and true

We were so happy
He got me dolls and clothes
And gave me treats
And loved me

It melted and broke

Why do you still lie?
Why are you mean to Mommy?
Why are you so fake?
A false front, a sugary guise

My sister, she loves you so much
She knows nothing of who you really are
It is almost sad to think
She loves and loves, you lie and lie

I pretend and pretend

And I continue to pretend
Because you have no idea what I know about you
