Even I Hate Me

by Lauren
(England)

I'm invisible.
People ask where I am;
I'm right next to them.

They say I'm their friend,
But I see a different story in their eyes,
I can see through their lies.

They all hate me,
Honestly,
I don't blame them.
I hate me too.

Do they know?
Do they see through my facade?
Is that why they hate me;
Because I'm broken?

The sad thing is,
I don't blame them.

I'm trapped in this cage,
They threw away the key.
I'm so sorry I can't be
who you want me to be.
