Everythings locked but im not safe

Everything's locked
Windows and door but i don't feel safe tonight
I feel so vulnerable here on my own
Under my night light

I can hear the rain crashing down spilling into the gutter
I feel so alone
Safe in my own home

My imagination running wild
My mind playing tricks
But everywhere is locked up
So there's nothing to fix

It's not easy being a mother home alone
Day and night one after another
Sometimes i feel like the rain
Down in that little old gutter
It will be okay to myself i mutter

Everything is locked up I'm safe
Just feeling vulnerable tonight
Out goes my little night light
