Fallen Angels and Lights

by Ever Cade
(Utah)

The time we had together was great,
even though it was lies,
I will never forget my first love,
the one who broke my heart.
I loved you like a fool,
I thought you loved me too,
but I guess all you wanted was sex,
because as soon as you had a taste,
You were hooked.
The poison apple of love,
long dropped, months ago,
was the thing that killed us both.
I am a falling Angel,
watching the lights go out,
as I fall towards the pit.
The pit that holds the apple.
Too late to take it back,
but not too late to catch it.
For I,
the fallen,
have vowed to be revived.
