Graduation 2012

We are young, but aging fast
We are looking back,
we wish that we could return,
to the bad times and make them good
Looking back and being surprised
about what we have been through
And everything that it has changed in these years
Now, to look to the future after high school
These moments of joy turn bittersweet
And frightening at times
And we realize that we can lose the ones
We have held dear since our first day of kindergarten
It is a time of tears, smiles, laughter
and memories and of moments of pride
And a remembrance of the little things that
We’ll remember for life,
but at the time didn’t seem important
We’ll remember the good times, bad times,
and ugly times
But as walking down the aisle
with "pomp and circumstance" playing in the back
We must remember,
"pomp" is what high school was
including the hype of college
And the "circumstance" is
everything that has happened,
is happening
and will happen in our lives
And remember,
anything is possible
when you have the future in your hands
As we have it in our hands
as we graduate this year 2012
