Grief

by Christine Holden
(UK)

Twinkling diamonds in inky blue

Each with a name

Only she knew

Not always visible

They surprised her

No pecking order

A brilliance borrowed from the sun

Each with a message

A musical note

To complement her pensive thought

Out of reach

Shot through the heart

She bled.
