Heart Attack

by McCollonough Ceili
(Nashville, TN and Ireland)

You hold your eyes to mine in a stare overflowing with shock. What is racing thorough your mind while hand goes to chest and knees that forget to stand begin to strangely bend? Falling forward your head makes an ere sound as is hits the wooden floor, suddenly surrounded by living bodies who carefully bring you to your back as if you where a newborn child, see your face, eyes now cold from life erased stare again this time at everything and nothing.
Your death only took a second but for me it was an eternity
