HER

by Stater
(Kolkata,WestBengal,India)

My eyes opened at one fine dawning.
I found someone beside me, standing.
It was her, my lover.
She looked at me and smiled,
So did my eyes and cheeks.
I saw her walking through the doorway,
I followed her smell the whole way.
Suddenly, she blends with the mist,
I found myself alone on the streets.
As, I further walked on the course,
I found her corpse, lying on the rocky floor.
My hands trembled, heart crumbled, and eyes numbed.
Gentle breeze passed by my ears, calling my name.
My eyes opened, I saw her beside me again.
But this time with a cup of tea,
Oh yes, it was just a bad dream!
