HEREAFTER OF THE WIND

by Shirley Munafo
(Cincinnati, Ohio)

My Oak tree branches are swaying
As I peer outside my window
I see my whole life before me
And suddenly I finally know

That is just the way real life is
Going to and fro, to and fro
I am now no longer wondering
Or trying ever again to control

I am doing what the wind wants
Do I actually have a choice?
We are all a robot of nature
It ignores our rambling voice

The answers we all look for
Will be a complete surprise
In the HEREAFTER OF THE WIND
We will all see with closed eyes.
