Humanity Falls Apart

by Lyndsey A.
(Pittsburgh, PA, USA)

A pale summer moon casts a longing gaze
toward the ever darkening night
Two lovers, star-crossed,
without guilt or remorse
wander the lonely streets
Four men running for a clean get away
The streetlight goes out and
the clouds shield the moon from the sorrow
The early morning sun
sheds light on our lovers,
a scene the town may not soon forget
Bullets, Scars, Heartbreak and loss
is all that's left as humanity falls apart
