I gave her life

by Pauline Harley
(Dublin Ireland)

I carried her in my womb
I gave her life from first breath took
I held her tiny fingers
Amazed at how they looked
How could this tiny miracle
I cradle here be mine
I have a beautiful daughter
To love forever more
I’ll cherish and adore her
Let no harm come her way
I’ll love her more than life itself
and she’ll love me even more

Love how this expresses the love a mother has for her child.
