If today was your last day

by Jeff Lamphear
(Queensbury N.Y. US)

If today was your last day what would you do, who do you see,
how do you act. Do you see old friends or keep to yourself, do you find your love and say good day.
Find your secret love and tell them how you feel, do they love you to? Today is the last day of the rest of your life or is it just a dream.
You treat everyday as thought it is your last but you never laugh, why, has true love passed you by or have you just been overlooking it. Someday, some way will they come for you, can they accept you, can they understand you.
You have so much heart to give but it has been caged from lessons past and it will actually be freed, can it be. If today was your last day what would you do, would you come save me?
