In the Garden of Life

by Angelene Monica

In the garden of life,
Many flowers are around you,
Flowers of diverse colours and shapes.

Spilling fragrances on your life,
At times, thorns may hurt you,
But, overwhelmed by its splendour,
Pain is seldom remembered.

As time flies by,
Old flowers may wither away,
Fresh flowers are sown into your life.

I am one of them in your garden,
Blossoming everyday, rarely seen
Absorbing Creators's sunshine
And waving upon you.

This flower may be lost in the meadow,
Longing to be like a flower in a desert,
Ever-blooming in the creator's paradise.
