It Was Love

by Chaitali Kale
(Pune, Maharashtra, India )

Intertwined fingers, mixed feelings,
Lying besides you my heart didn't know
with what it was dealing.

The first ray of sun, and his smiling
face,
Breaking all the awkwardness by a tender embrace.

In the moonlight and his presence,
And the cold wind with mystic love essence.

A kind word of his, and his glowing face,
All I could see was him surrounded by nothingness.

His mesmerizing touch and depth in his
eyes,
With the bitter sweet goodbyes
It was love I realized.
