The state of my friend
Is known to me
What my friend goes through everyday
To me, is not a mystery.
When our friendship broke
My friend must have cried
About the swollen eyes and lost appetite
My friend must have lied.
When I refused to talk
My friend must have felt like dying
After I walked away
Breaths must have left my friend sighing.
After I showed that I did'nt care
About my friend's tears
My friend must have ripped apart the clouds
To let the rain come down here.
But my friend would never hate me
That is something I know
Because whatever I'm doing is beyond my will
And I'm forced to show
That I don't care
That I have moved on
That my smile means I'm happy
That I'm reborn.
Don't know what lies in store
For my friend and me
But I pray to God
To give us both what we deserve, to keep us happy.
