Keeping it Inside

by Dominique (14 years old)
(Philippines)

There's this dark and twisted tune,
It's so dark, twisted and oh so true,
I sing it to myself under the moon
Then I figure out something to do

Something to do to kill the boredom,
To destroy anything that stands in my way
And when all of this is said and done
I'll keep all my feelings again at bay

Bottled up and waiting to explode
Until the next cut is put across my wrists
All my feelings, thoughts and ideas will erode
thrown to the sea and fed to the beasts

And the envelope that envelops my soul
The envelope I call a body, a case
Will slowly become dust rolled into a ball
And my soul forevermore lost in a daze
