LABOR AND WAIT

by Dr. Rick McGrath, Ph.D.

LABOR AND WAIT

Life told in tearful numbers
An empty life but some dream
For a spirit dead as it slumbers
To the body honey and cream.

When born the grave not the goal
We are destined for a different way
To capture love good for the soul
Plan for tomorrow but live today.

Trust no one for your future
Be who you say you are
Like the artist and his picture
The path you walk takes you far.

Let us then be busy and doing
A heart reminded for any fate
A full life is worth pursuing
Love to labor and learn to wait.
