LAST BREATH

by Cliffton Clay Cromberg
(Pueblo, CO )

The wind catches your breath,
as a whisper escapes your soul.

A moment in time...
An eternity of space...

We live to shine after a storm!
A candle that flickers is gone!

Behind the clouds hide the seasons
of mortal fears into immortal fires.

Burning with an immortal flame
of a single candle that shines,

now flickers is gone...
