LIFE'S GIFT

by Dr. Rick McGrath, Ph.D.
(Modesto, CA )

Our lives are gifts to one another
Universally entwined together
We’re each unique, one of a kind
Gifts to be appreciated I find.

Count your blessings, be happy for you
No need to be like someone you knew
Open your mind and think of the possibilities
Don’t let others put limits on your abilities.

Nothing wastes more energy than worrying
Don’t take things in life too seriously
All those things unimportant forget
Life isn’t for living with regret.

Life’s treasure are her people we meet
Don’t forget to extend your hand and greet
A little love goes a long, long way
Give a smile it is inexpensive to pay.

With purpose God created you and me
We can live our lives in true serenity
Remember how very special you are
Others are special even from afar.

We are wonderfully made that’s for sure
A kind word in time helps to reassure
For each other we have been beautifully made
Remember God’s love and the price he paid.
