Lifted

by Pauline Harley
(Dublin Ireland)

Today your spirit it came and lifted
A huge burden from my shoulders you shifted
Pulling me out from this dark deep hole
Making me feel like I have more control
To me the relief is so immense
My life now makes much more sense
I knew you would come to take it away
I just had to be patient until this day
I knew you would come to make it alright
You have given me insight into my life
With this burden lifted I no longer have to fight
My mum my saviour my guiding light
