Little Black Dress

by Sharon Bull
(Chesterfield Derbyshire)

The higher her heels,
the taller she feels,
the shorter her dress,
top low, to impress.

Her ruby red lips,
nails with french tips,
false eyelashs flutter,
"Tis a date" he did stutter.

She felt so excited,
her friends were delighted,
what to wear on the night?
Black dress...oh so tight!

They met at eight,
should she kiss this date,
an Italian dinner,
tiramisu the winner.

They left at ten,
should they meet again,
giddy from wine,
coffee invite...decline?

Short black dress,
just to impress,
lingerie was all matching,
this guy needed catching.

A kiss on the cheek,
a date for next week,
black dress hits the floor,
once she closes the door.

This lovely young lady,
love life often shady,
could this be the one?
or yet another Don Juan!
