Longing

by Gemma Moore
(Weston super mare, England)

They watched, motionless, as the stars came out to dance.
The night air, so scented and still, was full of promise.
If only one of them dared to take a chance.

But a chance on what, they both silently wondered.

The answers are hidden deep in their hearts,
But both being too afraid to question it
Might never know the full potential of their togetherness.

So towards the night sky they look,
Not wanting to look at each other
For fear of breaking the spell that the angels
So carefully cast over them.

So towards the night sky they look,
They'll answer the question tomorrow.
Because for now they're captivated by the magic and wonder
Sent by the angels, delivered by stardust.

Beautiful

I loved the imagery here, Gemma. Angels and Stardust--protected by and covered with--the feeling of being in love and never wanting it to end. Thank you for this.
