I look into the mirror
and what do I see?
I see an old person
looking back at me
At ages 20 and 30
I was a sight to behold
And now at 70, I am growing old
At ages 40 and 50
I could still hold my own
I could still turn a head
and was never alone
60 was a triumphant year
but the extra pounds landed
right on my rear
A wrinkle or two
started lining my face
Then more and more,
at such a fast pace
I look into the mirror
and what do I see?
I see an old person
looking back at me
However, the mirror
cannot see my heart
For youth is eternal
Never to part
