Losing a Friend

Why did she leave me
standing alone
I was her best friend
now shes cast me aside

I can't believe she did this
I didn't do anything but
still I said sorry
why can't she see,
she needs me

I look for a path to still
be best friends but none
are with her by my side
I have to let go

but I can't hold the truth
as it hurts too much
the hurt cuts through me
like a blade in my skin

cutting deeper every time
I think of her
but I'd rather take the pain
then leave her forever
