Lost City

by Moksha Shah
(New Zealand)

This poem is dedicated to times when Iraq was badly hit with bombs and attacks. News were flooded with stories of death and more death.

Tick Tock Tick Tock
Land of fear
Sleepless nights
Shattered of blood
Freedom lost
Tears flood the city
Bombing excuse less
Deep misty cries
Disappearing peace
Never finds its fire
Happiness fails
Like a failure in life
We never find
Again those body in
Disguise
